PICU “WISH LIST”
Hospital grade breastpump (for working breatfeeding moms)-right now we have to bring our own and pump in the bathroom
Bumbo chairs (several) with trays
Current kid DVD’s and CD’s with music
CD tower to hold all the CD’s
Another Wii or handheld Nintendo ds or PSP with games (we have 1 Wii system that was purchased by child life from a company called starlight fun center(www.stairlight.org or 1800-315-2580), it comes on a stand with the games already built in and no CD’s required so that they are not lost or taken)
Boppy pillows with removable washable covers for breastfeeding mom’s of patients
Blankets to give out to the kids
2 larger TV’s the same size as most of our pt rooms have(we have 2 room 61 and 63 that have to very small 9 inch TV’s in, very hard for pt’s to see or enjoy)
Kodak easy share digital camera that comes with a printer and supplies for families whose kids are here for weeks to months during holidays and other occasions
New stuffed animals to give away to new patients ( all varieties)
Portable CD players with head phones for kids with updated music cd’s
plastic wagon
sticker collection for patients
play mats
1 or 2 laptops for patient use for personal or school
large supply of good shampoo and conditioner for patients and their parents
combs and brushes
shaving cream (we already have razors)
a hoyer lift (Arjo Maxi Move is a specific kind that burn center and the floors use that is awesome for lifting and moving patients, we borrow it all the time, would be nice to have our own. Even though our patients are very sick we still get them up and out of bed frequently)
socks all different sizes (age 6months to adult)
underwear (2 years to adult)
bottles of detangler
new onsies for babies (age 3months to 18 months)
tumble chairs (like the ones from physical therapy dept that we always have to borrow)
dry erase boards with dry erase markers for pt’s to communicate and draw(like what david used when he was intubated)
for girls hair ties, bows, rubberbands
musical mobiles
new highchairs (2 if possible)
adult female and male deodorant supply
Industrial size refrigerator with freezer for breakroom
bubbles
small playdough jars
coloring books and crayons
sticker books
2 infant small travel swings
lap top trays for kids to work on coloring in bed or draw
gas cards or phone cards for parents in need
grocery cards (to walmart, target, giant eagle) for help with prescriptions
parking passes to help families with 4.00/day parking fee
grocery cards for our staff to purchase food to stock our nutrition room for families in need to eat, instead of food vouchers
decorating supplies to decorate the unit around each holiday and for the different seasons to be cheerful for our pateints
